External Reviews of Governance

External reviews of governance are vital to effective governance on your board.   Each review is tailored to the requirements of the governing board but as a minimum, the effectiveness of the governing board will be evaluated against the Department for Education's Governance Handbook, the Academy Trust Handbook (if applicable), and the Nolan Principles (Seven Principles of Public Life), with a specific focus on:

• Accountability and challenge within governance
